Stora uppsägningar på IDG efter ägarbyte

Boston Business Journal:

International Data Group, the 53-year-old tech research giant and publisher founded by the late Patrick McGovern, this week laid off an undisclosed number of employees, several months after the company announced it would acquired by a pair of Chinese investors.

IDG’s chief marketing officer Josh London confirmed the cuts, but did not share details about how many people were laid off or which departments were affected.

The layoffs hit writers and editors in both Massachusetts and California at IDG subsidiary publications like CIO, Network World and Macworld, according to social media posts.
